There is important information below that pertains to the OSSC
registration process.
1) Choose night and team or individual registration.
2) Choose sport.
3) Completely fill in the form
4) Submit form.
5) Print out your confirmation page and follow the "What happens
next" instructions
6) Experience Levels: Sports that are offered with various experience levels may
be combined for league play depending on total teams registered.
7) Pooling: Teams that win a division may be moved up a
level at the OSSC's discretion at the end of a season. Teams that finish
in lower positions may be moved down a level at the OSSC's discretion at
the end of a season. Pools may be reshuffled mid-season if the OSSC feels
it is in the best interest of the majority of teams is a particular
division.
8) Aggressive Play - aggressive play will not be tolerated in any of the sports. Any
teams/individuals who violate this may be asked to leave the leagues without refund.
9) Cancellations/Change of Venues &/or Change of Time/Days may
occur on Short Notice due to weather and field conditions. Make-up games may be played on alternate nights and locations.
10) Games played rain or shine,
unless lightening overhead at time of game.
11) There will be NO games (except Turf sports and curling) on March Break or Friday, March 21, Sunday, March 23 and Monday, March 24 due to Easter.
12) Contact Information: OSSC members' contact information is
provided to other team captains and individual registrants in their
sport, in the event that players need to communicate regarding league
issues. If players wish to have their contact information omitted from
team listings, then OSSC cannot be held responsible for lapsed
information or missed games. Contact information may also be posted by
OSSC members themselves at the Player Forum. Groups or individuals who
take or use this information for any other purpose than communicating
about OSSC league activity will be ejected without appeal or refund and
prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law. OSSC will not sell or
distribute contact information to third parties.
13) First-paid, First-played: Registration is NOT complete until payment is
received.
Payment Deadline is Thursday, January 3rd at 5:30pm (late fees will
apply after this date for $10 + GST/individual and $40 + GST/team). All
team and individual spots will only be held once FULL payment has been
received. The following are OSSC's payment options:
- Visa/Mastercard: Use secure, online payment on the website or call the OSSC office 565-TEAM (8326) with credit card number, expiry date and cardholder
name to process the registration fee.
- Mail or Drop-Off: Mail or come by our NEW OFFICE LOCATION with cheque, money order, or cash at 75 Hinton Avenue North, Ottawa, K1Y 0Z7 (close to the Royal Oak on Wellington). After regular business hours (Mon-Fri 10AM – 5:30PM) you can drop your payment in the mail box - please do not leave cash.
- NO refunds after deadline date.
- NO refunds due to defaulted games.
- $10 + GST processing fee for any refunds within two weeks before deadline.
